The second amendment says, "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." I remember reading about a supreme court case that determined that "arms" can be defined as any gun that is standard issue for a military because the general population should be able to fight back against any invading force. For the life of me, I can't find that reference again. Did I imagine this or read it wrong? Does anyone know the case I'm thinking of?
